Product Built to Scale: Challenges and the Journey of an Entrepreneur

  Every entrepreneur and founder builds products with a lot of love and pain. There is always an overriding ambition to scale and emerge as the next big thing in technology. However, the reality is that less than 1 in 10 will ever get there. With a spate of closures, shutdowns, and retrenchments, the massive opportunity for failure is undeniable and in your face. One of the obvious challenges you will face as you start out is building the product and the need to scale. When do you reach the sweet spot? When do you expand the team? When is the right time to go full throttle? There are no right answers. Stage one involves a lot of whiteboarding, sleepless nights, and coffees – ominous signs of what's up next. After much deliberation, you arrive at a consensus on building a skeletal structure or a prototype in the current jargon that bears no resemblance to the final product or even the MVP.
